About 100 neighbors, friends and lake supporters gathered at the K-I Club in Minong on September 5 for the Gilmore Lake Association’s Summer Send-Off BBQ and fundraiser.

Guests enjoyed food, games and a silent auction, along with plenty of time to catch up with one another. The event raised $6,500 for the Gilmore Lake Preservation Fund.

“We’re grateful to everyone who attended, donated auction items and volunteered to make the evening such a success,” said GLA president Fran McCloskey. “It was wonderful to see so many people come together for Gilmore Lake.”

The Preservation Fund supports the ongoing work needed to manage Eurasian water milfoil, including treatment and monitoring. That work helps protect the fishing, boating, swimming and other activities that bring us together at Gilmore Lake.
