Skills & Experience: Strategic thinking, problem solving, leadership or decision-making experience. Business, scientific, environmental or public policy experience is helpful.

Time Commitment: Approximately 4–6 hours per month year-round, including three Board meetings annually.

Board Committee Member

Support the work of one of the GLA’s committees—Lake Management, Membership & Communications, or Fundraising—without the commitment of serving on the Board.

Skills & Experience: Interest or experience in areas such as lake stewardship, science or the environment, community engagement, communications or fundraising. No specific experience is required; a willingness to contribute and learn is welcome.

Time Commitment: Approximately 2–4 hours per month, with more activity during the summer and less during the winter.

Lake Stewardship

Skills & Experience: No previous experience required—training is provided. Volunteers should be comfortable working in or around the water.

Time Commitment: Approximately 2–6 hours per month during the summer.

Time Commitment: Approximately 10–15 hours spread over May and June.

Help make GLA gatherings successful by assisting with setup, serving, cleanup and other day-of-event needs at the Annual Meeting luncheon and other association events.

Website Content Contributor

Help keep members informed and connected by contributing occasional articles, lake updates, community stories or photographs for the GLA website.

Time Commitment: Typically 1–2 articles, updates or photo contributions per year.

Help manage the GLA Facebook group by reviewing membership requests, admitting eligible members and assisting with basic group moderation.
